Tense, Aspect, and Mood

Examples:

Present tense

Zi fallir gatikad.

Gloss: 2 need food-ACC.

Translation: "You need food."

Past tense

Shu fallirdem namba.

Gloss: 3 need-PST sleep.

Translation: "He needed to sleep."

Future tense

Veru fallirmai marka magi.

Gloss: 1PL need-FUT leave soon.

Translation: "We will need to leave soon."

Present imperfect

Impah fallirli veruk vokir enkawdh shur nadzir..

Gloss: Empire need-IPF 1PL.ACC follow what 2PL say.

Translation: "(The) Empire is requiring us to follow what they say."

Past imperfect

Shur fallirlidem vek marka.

Gloss: 3PL require-IPF-PST 1.ACC leave-ABL.

Translation: "They were requiring me to leave."

Future imperfect

Zi fallirmali nid gedhreskad.

Gloss: 2 need-IPF.FUT here tool-ACC?

Translation: "You'll (be) needing this tool."

Present imperative

Ve fallirfadh shuk!

Gloss: 1 need-IMP 3.ACC!

Translation: "I NEED it!"

Notes: I'm not sure how much sense this makes, but I think the Imperative could be used for emphasis in this case.

Past imperative

Shu fallirfadhem shun odistkad.

Gloss: 3 need-PST-IMP 3.GEN knife-ACC.

Translation: "She must have needed her knife."

Future imperative

Markafadhi shuk dhawlir udisodhkad.

Gloss: Require-IMP.FUT 3.ACC build temple-ACC.

Translation: "(Thou shalt) require him to build a temple."
